THREAD
Signature Machine Quilting thread is cotton covered polyester. It's a natural choice for those quilters who want an extra strong thread for machine quilting, but prefers cotton thread to match their cotton fabrics. The polyester thread provides strength while the cotton thread covering offers the same soft feel as cotton fabric. We offer 3,000 yard cones in a variety of colors.
Our YLI Variegated Machine Quilting thread is a 40 weight thread made from the finest long staple Egyptian cotton. This mercerized variegated machine quilting thread is made expressly for the machine. Soft and smooth, with almost no fuzz or lint. We offer 3,000 yard spools.
Mettler Metrosene Plus is an all purpose, 50 weight, 160 denier polyester thread on a 150 meter spool (164 yards). Whether on cotton, synthetics, mixed textiles, linens, or even silk, Metrosene makes for smooth seams. And because Mettler has given Metrosene the ideal gliding properties, elaborate tension adjustments are finally a thing of the past.
We carry Exquisite (formerly called Poly-X40) thread for embroidery. Many embroiderers use rayon, but we prefer polyester. It's a tougher fiber and much less likely to break when you embroider with it. It will also stand up to repeated washings, where rayon has a tendency to fade when laundered and may shrink in the dryer. Poly-X40 is 40 weight, 120/2 denier polyester thread. It's colorfast, withstanding fading from ultraviolet light and industrial laundering. It provides the same brilliant sheen as rayon, especially once you see it in your completed designs. We offer economical 1000 meter cones (1093 yards).
Kingstar Metallic Embroidery Thread has a polyester core, wrapped in rice paper with a metallic finish. This thread doesn't "kink" as it unwinds from the spool, resulting in smooth running through the thread pre-tensioners, meaning fewer thread breaks and higher quality embroidery. This is premium quality metallic thread on a 1,000 meter cone. It comes in a variety of rich colors, and will add that pizazz you expect from metallic thread.
